Human Resources Manager (Mumbai Branch)

We’ve recently launched our Indian office with a group of bright, committed, fun-loving humans and we need an HR professional who thrives on the challenge of building out a regional HR function. You’ll be able to architect processes and practices that enable your fellow EverLightener to do their best work and help drive the bottom line for the business by ensuring low compliance risk and improved employee engagement and retention.

Cool Things You’ll Do

Be a lead catalyst in the build, maintenance and growth of the Indian operations as part of organizational strategy. You’ll be managing the Human Resources function for the region and you’ll have the opportunity to partner with leadership in achieving the strategic and operational goals as well as play a key role in EverLighten's plans to scale our Indian-based operation. You’ll have the opportunity to inform the myriad ways in which programs, practices and processes can drive alignment with our company values and commitment to a diverse and inclusive and innovative culture. The work you’ll do is unique in your capacity to have a materially positive impact on everyone in the EverLighten Indian family.

Partner with your teammates and other back office teams to build and effectively communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws to all Indian employees
Manage HR and office administration across the region, including contracts, new employee on-boarding, salary benchmarking, compensation revision history and employment law compliance
Develop and handle probation completion, probation extension, performance appraisal, performance evaluation, compensation appraisal management and employee offboarding
Effectively plan, support, train and monitor our quarterly Performance Evaluation process
Manage employee relations matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and urgency
Partner to create and support regular local employee engagement activities to foster fun and team bonding
Proactively identify gaps and process, propose and implement solutions for organization
Partner with Finance and Accounting to maintain accurate and seamless payroll and related financial reporting and needs
Responsible for talent acquisition
Maintain Occupational safety & health standard as per registration under rule 1020.
Manage relevant vendor management, administrative and facilities tasks of Indian office in partnership with other Administration teams
What You Bring to the Table

7+ years of extensive experience in general HR
Experience in fast growing start-up
Expertise in policies, laws and practices and associated reporting requirements
Proven experience as a trusted and skilled coach and advisor in people management and development matters
Superior employee relations experience and competencies
Experience building a localized HR function from inception
Must be highly flexible, resourceful and responsible
Expert relationship builder
Excellent English communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Avid consumer of market HR trends and best in class practices
